Not even in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would hop on the getaway car and drive to be enchanted for 3 hours. Look what you made me do, Taylor! Don’t blame me.
This is a diary entry for my future persona to look back on the younger version and think “I wish I can still be all that”. Yes we can.
Today is my birthday. And no I am not staring into the blank space, counting my wishes. Pfft, who does that?! I am reflecting back on the time I booked tickets for Taylor swift eras tour partly because I gave into the FOMO of it all. But largely because I wanted to convince myself I didn’t miss much by not seeing her live. I was dead wrong.
The honking amidst the traffic definitely did not make people move faster. So while we were stuck on the road on our way to the movie, I decided to start the concert on my own. Playing all of Taylor’s top hits took me back in time.
From the second we entered the theatre till the moment we left, I was constantly amazed by the craze of her fans. Every single person was singing along and participating from the start. Once she got to her hits, the seats were empty and half the audience was already dancing to the beat by the screen, yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. I didn’t need a push to join in on the fun :)
It’s surprising to see one artist being dearly loved by so many. People deeply relate to her. She embodies what she sings and finds common ground with her audience. All these traits are more than enough for people to love her immensely. What a feat that is!!
I can’t guarantee myself I’ll make it to her concert one day (because the ticket prices are quite exorbitant ), but I will keep this one experience close to my heart.
P.S: Midnights is my favorite album. And yours?
